Shaun Mize, CFP®

Shaun is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and lead advisor at Rivertree.

Shaun graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2018, where he played collegiate baseball and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management.

After graduating from the Academy, he was commissioned as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the Air Force and served six years managing a variety of teams tackling complex military operations. He served in multiple locations around the United States and deployed to the Middle East during these years.

During his time at the Academy, he took a personal investments class and learned that small, disciplined decisions compound over time and lead to financial freedom. This experience set him on the path of joining this industry.

After passing the CFP® exam and completing his military service, he joined a large fee-only wealth management firm in Scottsdale, Arizona where he helped high-net-worth families manage every aspect of their financial lives. He joined Rivertree because of his love for guiding families through retirement with clarity and confidence.

Shaun’s foundation is his faith, his family, and his friends. Outside of work, Shaun loves spending his time with his wife, Angelique, his son, Dean, and his dog, Millie. They love long walks, reading, cooking, and quality time with friends and family.
